LFW S/S 14: House of Holland

15-09-2013

The London designer, known for his statement, bold prints started off the collection with a very 50’s vibe. Knee-length dresses were collared and covered in either florals or a checked print, often styled with a belt or ruched waist.

As the collection progressed, metallic and shimmer became more of a statement. One look, a copper bomber worn draped over a feminine, tea-style, textured dress.

Tattoo print played a strong part in the collection, the purple design with tattoo love hearts could be found on a number of pieces, from silk dresses to tailored cigarette pants. Lace inserts made a subtle appearance on some of the pieces and helped create a fresh yet wearable look that would be perfect for the summer.

Distinctive looks included, shimmery, snakeskin textured trousers paired with a collared, floral, saint printed t-shirt, complete with kitsch eyewear.

The contemporary, ready-to-wear collection kept to its usual street cred vibe, as models donned matching printed caps to formal silk tracksuits.
