LFW S/S 14: Natasha Zinko
17-09-2013
Met with champagne and chocolates upon entry – it made for a civilized affair to boot! Guests, a mix of press, buyers and a number of well-heeled Russian ladies, were invited to walk around, glass in hand, to peruse Zinko’s collection on a range of live, posing and pouting models.

Taking inspiration from the Campanula flower, more commonly known as the Bell flower often spotted in woodland, Zinko played with curve, form and feminine silhouettes. Structure akin to corsetry created curvy shapes that enhanced the derrière. Nipped-in-waists, French lace and frills piled on the femininity. The over-all effect was sophisticated lingerie meets French chic.
In keeping with the Bell flower influence the colour palette kept to shades of lilac, ochre, sky, pale pink, French grey and a dash of black. Transparent over-layers maintained the underwear / outerwear look while the overtly feminine styles gained appreciative nods from Zinko’s Russian fan base.
