User Instructions and Features of the Online Exhibitor Manual
- Once you have logged into the Online Exhibitor Manual you will see that each section has been clearly marked with a tab for ease of use when viewing information contained in the manual.
- It is advisable to read through the manual and familiarise yourself with its contents.
- A full list of official contractors are listed with full contact details for easy viewing.
- In the Online Forms section you will find the ‘To Do List’ which enables you to see which services are available to you – when you click on the task you will see this has a link to an order form or to an ordering service. You can make notes on each task and save them. Please keep the status of each task up-to-date as this will be viewed by the organiser.
- Each order form is available through the To Do List. Upon online submission of a form the information is sent directly to the Contractor or Organiser.
- The Index feature is very useful as you can clearly see in which sections a particular subject is mentioned. The clickable links take you directly to the relevant section for that subject.
As a Shell Scheme exhibitor, your stand includes white walls, carpet, a fascia and a nameboard. In order for the correct company name to be displayed, please ensure that you complete the Shell Scheme Nameboard form in the manual.
Exhibitor Manual FAQ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: When I try to log in to Exhibitor Manuals Online, I just get a blank page, and the (URL) address bar in my browser contains garbage (eg. “/not%20logged%20in”)
A: This indicates that you are accessing the Internet through a proxy server or firewall, and that server has not been configured to run all Java software (especially Microsoft Java). You should consult your network administrator for further assistance.
Q: I have forgotten my login details (username and/or password) – what should I do?
A: Send an e-mail to clothesshowlive.operations@haymarket.com with your full company contact information. We will then reply with your login details, or, if you are not recorded in the database, we will refer you to the organiser for them to assign you a login.
Q: My password isn’t working – what should I do?
A: Check that you aren’t using letters instead of numbers. If it’s still not working then send an e-mail to clothesshowlive.operations@haymarket.com with your company contact information. We will then reply with your password details.
Q: Why can I not access a manual page directly, without having to navigate via the home page?
A: The secure and dynamic features of the CTS Online Manual means that you must be logged into the system before accessing individual pages of a manual. This is designed to prevent unauthorised access to your (or anyone else’s) information.
Q: What do I do if I get an error on my screen?
A: If you experience any difficulty with the online manual, then please send details, including any error reports to webmaster.emol@ctsnet.co.uk
It is important to start thinking about your products and how you are going to display them on the stand. Here are some top tips you should be thinking about now:
DO:
- Treat your stand as your shop window.
- Display well and give the consumer a reason to stop and capture the product you are retailing.
- Here’s an incentive- awards will be given at the show for shell scheme and space.
- Merchandise and brand your stand creatively.
- Offer something that the consumer would not be able to purchase on the high street.
- Have skilled personnel on your stand that have excellent knowledge of your product.
- Data capture from your stand.
DON’T:
- Hand-write price tags.
- This will not represent your brand or your product properly and will make the exhibition look untidy.
- Bring railings that don’t fit within your shell scheme dimensions.
- Check with the operations team if you are unsure of what they need to be.
- Cover your facial sign.
- Have products in the aisle.
- Keep the area around your stand clear.
- Hand out leaflets or promotion material in the aisles.
- This must be done from your stand.
- Use microphones on your stand for selling a product.
- Microphones may be used for Hair and Beauty demonstrations, however permission must be granted from the operations team.
- Retail ranges different to those stated on your contract.
