The Factory is a CMT factory that was created in 2007 to fill the industry need for a quality based, small production facility for national designers and retailers. The unit consists of some of the most experienced machinists and pattern cutters in the UK who operate on a wide cross section of machinery. Although we have a broad range of existing clientele including Jaeger, Asos.com and 80 other designers our staff is always open to working with new talent.
Job Description – Admin Support
To work with Fashion Enter you will need to be willing to work in a busy environment. You therefore must have a friendly disposition yet be able to receive instructions and complete tasks in a timely manner. As the course provided by Fashion Enter is fashion and textiles, you will be taught on a Tuesday every week on knowledge of how to use sewing machines and of hand stitching. For this job you will be expected to monitor and answer emails as well as phone calls. You will also be expected to book appointments for designers to meet the Factory Manager. You will be sending out designer samples via courier. Raising Invoices will also be part of the daily job. At the end of every week you will need to update a blog explaining what happened throughout the week, in some cases you will need show evidence via photos. You need to be willing to support other staff and most importantly the Manager. You must be an organised, enthusiastic individual with an evident passion for hard work.
Fashion Enter is seeking to employ an apprentice instantly; however there will be a trail period to ensure the relationship will be sustainable for the duration of the 18month contract. You will be working with Fashion Enter 4 days each week and will attend Fashion Enter’s Workshop or Factory one day a week and will be registered as a student with the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London. Upon completion of the 18 month contract you will have a Level 3 Diploma in Fashion & Textiles (Apparel Pathway).
Pay
As an apprentice, the minimum amount that is required to be paid by the employer is £100 per week as stipulated by government.
