“I found the Stitching Academy programme has helped me a lot in gaining experience with the fashion industry. The course has taught me a lot in stitching and working with machines and how to work in a factory environment. This has also raised my confidence and has been really helpful in gaining connections to get myself up there as an apprentice.
I would like to gain as much experience as possible in fashion – as long as it’s fashion I will put my blood, sweat and tears in to it.”
Sofia Silvestre passed the 6-week Level 1 Stitching Academy programme in August 2013.
