“I got referred to the Stitching Academy by the Princes Trust when I did work experience at ASOS headquarters. I have really enjoyed the course. My time at the Stitching Academy was truly a great experience, even just being around a factory environment. I came into this course not knowing how to even stitch a straight line and now I have come out being able to stitch together a skirt and various other items that I have made by myself!

I am 22-years young in less than a few weeks, and I have always loved fashion but really didn’t see it as a career up until the beginning of this year, I took part in a fashion show as a stylist a few months ago and I loved it. Doing this course has also helped me boost my confidence – I feel like I can now see a future in the industry. I aspire to be a stylist but I am willing to start anywhere and work my way up. Now that I have completed this course I have applied to do a Level 3 apprenticeship course, which I’m really looking forward to and hopefully the future is bright for me.

I would like to say a big thank-you to Jenny Holloway who has been wonderful throughout my time here she is amazing and a big supporter of young talent, also a big thank-you to Leyla Mehmet our tutor who has been very patient with us and she has taught us a lot throughout the 6 weeks.”
