Perfect Pattern Cutting

Fashion Enter is delighted to confirm a new Master Class for Perfect Pattern Making in association with e-Telestia. This five day workshop on measurements, pattern cutting and grading will be using the innovative methods developed over the last 60 years to make pattern cutting easy but right first time.

Your five days full time course will include:- 

1. How to measure correctly both for bespoke and generic market sizing – review of theory and actual application.
2. How to construct patterns for basic blocks for ladieswear, menswear and childrenswear. Incorporation of actual body shape identification and then resulting blocks to ensure “perfect fit”.
3. Style developments from basic blocks.
4. Technical drawings with measurement specs for perfect pattern making.
5. 3D grading techniques to ensure perfect fit.
6. Use of all e-Telestia software to be able to “teach the Teacher” and enhance learning for all designers irrespective of pattern making experience.

Learning outcomes from the aims of the above course will be:-

Understanding of methods and process used in relation to your market/client requirements Relationship of pattern creation to 3D body and measurement – achieving style and creating design ideas Clear identification of design and style when creating your ideas from a basic shape starting block Technical drawings Measuring and identifying measurement points for specific style development Proportionate size increases when identifying your specific market and customer (grading specification) Team work within the group of specialists you will be training with. Looking at problem solving within the pattern cutting theory and expanding your fashion knowledge regarding apparel
