This course is designed to produce graduates who are fully conversant with the creative, practical and with transferable skills necessary for employment in a demanding and competitive industry, and to integrate the vocational with the intellectual development of the individual graduate.
|
Details: |
The BA (Hons) Fashion and Textiles course enables you to negotiate a balance of study in relation to fashion design and development, textiles, knitwear and footwear design, recognising the need for flexibility and ensuring the students’ creative development is directed at producing a design portfolio and major project appropriate to your future aspirations.
The course will seek to maintain well-established links with industry demonstrated by project involvement with major companies, work placement opportunities and sponsorship, and continued association with the British Fashion Council College Forum and Graduate Fashion Week – presented by River Island.
Creative and practical studies are strongly underpinned by professional development and critical studies which reinforce the relationship which exists between theory and practice in relation to both the market place and the cultural context of design.
