The Adult College of Barking and Dagenham

12-10-2008

Barking and Dagenham Adult College

The College is committed to curriculum development, widening participation in the local community and promoting lifelong learning.

These courses are now wide-ranging in scope, and aimed predominantly at the adult community, but the College has recently absorbed B&D Training Services, and adapted its provision to incorporate Entry to Employment options, and apprenticeship development, as well as other work based and work related opportunities. This expanded offer is delivered from several centres throughout Barking and Dagenham. The courses offer value for money in a relaxed and friendly environment, and are adapted to cope with a variety of entry levels, and different degrees of aspiration.

Returning to learning could be the first step in getting you where you want to be. It's a chance to get back to work, launch a new career or simply indulge an interest.

Learning doesn't have to be about getting a qualification; and there's much satisfaction from just getting to grips with something new and proving to yourself that you can do it. It doesn't require a big time commitment to learn something new. Most of the courses take only 1 or 2 hours a week, and are available during daytimes and evenings.
