Job Title: Photographer, Author and Fashion Director of The New Yorker magazine. Previous posts include Fashion Editor at the Sunday Times Style magazine, Art Director at Tatler, Design Director at British Vogue and Paris Editor of Vanity Fair.


Dress Code: Bespoke suits & fur scarves.


 


 


2 Susanne Tide-Frater


Job Title: Former head of Creative Direction at Selfridges – left in 2004 to bring her much needed creative magic to Knightsbridge department store – Harrods.


Dress Code: Skinny jeans, designer coat and a white blond mane.

Job Title: Long-time Fashion Director at the Daily Telegraph.


Dress Code: Lots of vintage and ethnic threads. Trademark bob hairstyle, tanned skin and glasses perched on the end of her nose.

Job Title: Fashion Journalist and Fashion Features Editor-at-Large at Russian Vogue. Previous posts include Fashion Director of British Elle and contributor to various newspapers and magazines including The Evening Standard.


Dress Code: Jeans, expensive shoes, plain t-shirts and a cashmere coat.

5 Colin McDowell


Job Title: All round authoritative fashion commentator. Senior Fashion Writer for The Sunday Times Style magazine, author of sixteen books, Chairman of The Costume Society and Fashion Fringe founder.


Dress Code: Designer suits, polo necks and grey whiskers.

6 Suzy Menkes


Job Title: Fashion Editor of the International Herald Tribune. Has received an OBE and become a member of the National Order of the Legion of Honor for her great contribution to journalism.


Dress Code: Colourful big coat worn over trousers, knotted scarf and trademark bouffant hairstyle.


 


 


7 Lisa Armstrong


Job Title: Writer for a variety of magazines and newspapers – had a stint as Fashion Features Director for Vogue before becoming Fashion & Style Editor at The Times.


Dress Code: Smart and professional with a hint at the current season’s trends.


 


 


8 Louise Chunn


Job Title: Editor of InStyle magazine. Started her career as a music journalist – followed by a series of senior roles at Just Seventeen, Elle, The Guardian, Vogue, Madame Figaro and The Evening Standard.


Dress Code: Classic style and a cropped haircut.


 


 


9 Glenda Bailey


Job Title: Editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar. Before Bazaar she served a similar post at the U.S. edition of Marie Claire.


Dress Code: Top-end designer togs.

Job Title: Editor-in-Chief of American Vogue.


Dress Code: Elegant designer labels – Prada is a favourite, razor sharp bob and occasionally – large dark sunglasses. (Attends only a handful of London Fashion Week shows.)

Dress Code: Black’s her favourite shade, plus trademark hair swept across the face.

Job Title: Editor of British Vogue. Shulman began her career at Condé Nast, first she joined Tatler followed by spells at The Sunday Telegraph, Vogue and GQ. She has been British Vogue Editor since 1992.


Dress Code: Enjoys colour and print in classic silhouettes.

Job Title: Chairman of the British Fashion Council.


Dress Code: Well-cut suits with a pale shirt and tie.

Job Title: Fashion Director of Tatler.


Dress Code: Sculptural hats – usually by Philip Treacy, pale skin, a strong lip tone and togs by the likes of Alexander McQueen, Prada and Vuitton.

Dress Code: Eccentric gent, suits, colourful ties and socks, glasses and a floppy fringe.

Job Title: Fashion Editor at Vogue Italia and book authoress.


Dress Code: Can’t miss her in-your-face style, lots of bold prints and colours combined all at once.


 


 


And let’s not forget the obligatory photogenic celeb. Last seasons front row regulars included the likes of: Minnie Diver, Lisa Snowdon, Rachel Hunter, Helen Mirren and Jade Jagger.
