Yob’s Don Another Top Brand

{mosimage}The curse of the chav has struck once again. In the firing line this time is top fashion brand Prada. In particular Prada hi-top trainer style shoes have been listed as a dress code no-no at a selection of bars and clubs in Manchester. Last year Burberry check items became associated with yobbish clans inciting bans in pubs and clubs in the Leicester area. Fortunately for the international brand no real harm was done and profits look better than ever. (Plus Creative Director, Christopher Bailey has just topped the Forbes list of the world’s most influential fashion designers.) In Manchester, meanwhile, recent troubles have put the spotlight on dress policy once again. Named and shamed on the ‘no entry’ list are – sportswear, hooded tops, Prada shoes, scruffy jeans and flashy jewellery. I wonder what Miuccia makes of it all?

Bella 4 Miss Selfridge

It seems we can’t get enough of those designer/High Street collaborations. Just in at Miss Selfridge is the new exclusive Bella Freud range. The collection comprises of smoky grey velvet jackets, scarf neck dresses, patterned cheongsams, embroidered grey wash jeans and a variety of vintage inspired prints.

Stella 4 H&M

Over at H&M the press has been out in force to report on Stella McCartney’s High Street contribution. Interviews aplenty plus a glitzy star-studded bash – a collection sell out looks guaranteed. The capsule range includes silk wraps, tailored jackets, jump suits, skinny jeans and draped silk dresses. Hitting the stores on the 10th of this month there’s talk of overnight camping and queues around the block!

Jeans That Fit in an Instant

Jeans, so much choice, so many styles, it’s no wonder that 57% of us have bought a pair in the wrong size at one time or another. Thankfully help is at hand from the forward thinking brand – Levi’s. Just in store from the States is a body scanning device that records over 200 parts of the body within seconds. Advice is then passed on as to the best size and style for you. Intellifit is available at the Levi’s Flagship Store, Regent Street, London W1.
