Models of the Moment
Behati Prinsloo and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley proved they weren’t afraid to ‘work it’ when the pair totted up a fair amount of catwalk shows between them at last seasons London Fashion Week. Now the dynamic duo, both with mother agents based in London, have been busy impressing the perfectly polished fashion crowd at New York Fashion Week, adding highly influential stateside designers to their personal CVs.
Meanwhile, Trish Goff is proof that you can get more than one bite of the cherry in the highly competitive world of modelling. Goff, a well known face that graced covers and campaigns in the mid-90s has crept back on the scene in recent seasons and is currently a top choice at the New York Fashion Week collections.
Brit Style a la Paris
Earlier in the week Fashion Capital reported on AngloMania – an appreciation of British style currently taking place over the pond. Well, it seems Paris is about to join in, with an exhibition called UK JACK OK! Opening at the end of the month Colette boutique in Paris will pay homage to Brit fashion and art with works by the likes of Chris Levine, Universal Everything, Janette Beckman, Willy Vanderperre, Sweet Dreams Security TM, Committee and more. Parisian shoppers will also be able to get their hands on the TopShop Unique range, as Colette welcomes designs by the high street giant – a first on French soil.
UK JACK OK! Exhibition opens 27th February – 1st April 2006 at Colette, Paris. The show will then relocate to Dover Street Market, London before heading over to Tokyo later in the year.
TopShop Unique will be available at Colette from 17th February 2006
Hillbilly Hop
Anyone that checked out the latest A/W 06/07 Menswear collections will have spotted the odd tribute or two to Brokeback Mountain. (For a humorous take check out Valentino’s show!) For those of you that like nothing more than a good excuse to dress up and yee haa with the best of them then you might fancy a bit of Hillbilly Hop tonight. Playing a mixture of rockabilly, country, blues, banjo, bass – all with a twist of course, is Kitty, Daisy Lewis.

Miss Selfridge Goes Back to her Roots
Like a marriage made in heaven you’d think Miss Selfridge & Selfridges were made for each other? They certainly thought so back in 1966 you could indeed find a Miss Selfridge boutique within the grand walls of the illustrious department store. Since then, Miss Selfridge has been through many highs and lows, now back on top form the on-trend fashion boutique is back and available in Selfridges once again. Visit the Spirit section on the ground floor and check out the latest Miss Selfridge collection along with a special Exclusive to Selfridges range.
Miss Selfridge now available at Selfridges London, Spirit section, Ground Floor, Oxford Street, W1.
Trend of the Moment
After a sneaky peek at the Menswear Autumn/Winter collections and now the Womenswear catwalk shows in New York it seem designers have turned their attention to the collar. So far we’ve spied a good deal of exaggerated high cowl and funnel necklines.
