Manufacturing Sub Sector Support Advert

The London Development Agency seeks to appoint suppliers with relevant experience and skills to help develop and manage its Manufacturing Sub Sector Support Programme (MSSSP) for London.


 


The contract will be for a period of 2 years commencing May 2006 to end of March 2008. The LDA envisages their support will encourage the creation of Manufacturing Sub-Sector Support Programmes (MSSSP) that seek out the barriers to Creativity, Design and Innovation within London, identifying the challenges businesses face and through the initiatives, implement long-term solutions to the identified challenges and barriers.


 



 


This project will target gaps in the support services provided to specific Production Industry (PI) Sub Sectors in London as identified by suitably qualified bodies.  We would expect bidding organisations to aim to assist businesses to:


• Be more proactive in business development and innovation


• Develop their products and services


• Identify new customers and/or new markets


• Improve their business processes in order to enable them to exploit growing product and market opportunities


 


The main beneficiaries will be London based SMEs from the food, engineering, print/publication, fashion and furniture sub sectors. Applications are welcome from other sectors.
