City Fringe partnership

21-09-2006

The City Fringe lies to the north and east of London‘s financial centre – the Square Mile. It is a vibrant inner city area with a dynamic mix of people and cultures. It is home to some 22,000 businesses, employing over 276,000 people. Yet the area contains some of the highest rates of unemployment in the UK.

The City Fringe Partnership adopts the City Growth approach to economic development, which recognises the inherent advantages of the inner city, giving local people access to genuine business and employment opportunities.

The Partnership is seeking to add to its current successful support team with a fixed term post. This appointment is offered initially on a fixed term contract until March 2007, although an extension for a further 2 year period to 31st March 2009 is currently being negotiated. Secondments will be considered.
