Bérubé
After towering heels galore at many a collection it was great to see models working the catwalk in lace-up baseball boots. Not that Bérubé was without glamour. From pinafore dresses to empire-line frocks to tiered ruffle coats there was something to dress up and dress down in. Bérubé kept her palette limited to key shades of black, white, grey and metallic silver, while her fabrics contrasted from soft leathers to fluid jerseys. Styled with a smattering of pom-poms, arm-warmers and trooper hats Bérubé’s models looked distinctively cosy. As seen in her previous collections her wearable designs are all in the detail. Pleated sections, gathered puff hems and lantern sleeves add to the mix. Layered up over polo necks and leggings there was a slight nod to the 80s but, of course, with a fresh Bérubé slant.
