Tickets are now on sale for the Royal College of Art’s much-respected graduate Fashion shows. Scheduled for the 23rd and 24th May the shows will take place at the Royal College of Art alongside the exhibition.

Thirty-five postgraduate students will showcase their final collections in a catwalk presentation that includes menswear, womenswear and millinery, as well as static displays of footwear and bag designs. There will also be a selection of garments designed by students who entered a competition with high-street store Oasis.

The Royal College of Art is the home of the world’s only wholly postgraduate Fashion Department. Founded by Madge Garland, former Vogue editor in 1948, the School is renowned for its links with the clothing and textiles industry, ranging from companies such as Levi’s, Umbro, Missoni and Burberry.

An emphasis on individual creativity and originality married with impeccable technical know-how means that these students will no doubt soon be working for some of the ‘top fashion houses.’ RCA graduates who have shaped the face of fashion include Ossie Clark, Philip Treacy, Antony Price, Julien Macdonald, Christopher Bailey, Hamish Morrow and Georgina Goodman.

Shows take place at the Royal College of Art, Kensington Gore, London SW7 2EU on 23 and 24 May. Tickets cost between £12 and £25 and can be booked in advance at www.rca.ac.uk or by calling 020 7590 4566.
