Enter into Amelia’s frantic fashion cupboard
18-05-2007
OK, I know World Environment Day is coming up, and that the likes of Ciel and Katherine Hamnett should feature in my wardrobe, but I have to confess there is not one organic thread in my style files, until now that is. I have decided to take the plunge and try to shop as green as I can.
My wedges are set to work overtime at the Fair Trade Sample Sale in East London this weekend www.peopletree.co.uk/fashionmadefair and if my bank balance lets me I might even invest in the new Stella McCartney organic beauty range, god, I will soon be as organic as Abel and Cole.
Alas, however the key item I am desperate for is my transactional coat. My current trench is too heavy and I fear the holes due to over wear are in constant competition with that of the ozone layer. So imagine my fashion frenzy at last weeks Shanghai Tang party for the new collection from growing designer Khotan.
Here I found my dream jacket, just the right balance of fabric to keep me warm at night, heaven knows what the British weather has install for me, and light enough to take on my travels, and believe me I travel.

This month it looks like my travels are taking me to the SADO collection preview, a Russian designer who is already making quite a name for herself after featuring at a fashion calendar must – Alternative Fashion Week. Feel free to join me, just delve into your purse for a mere £15 and then you can start to plan your winter wardrobe. www.kyzar.co.uk/chic/
Often used to being behind the camera on a photo shoot frantically trying to piece together a unique shot this time the flash will be turning on me – literally. I am set to model again, I in advance apologize for the cracked camera lens, lets hope at least one picture works.

Well I must fly, until next time, and please take a minute to remember a fashion icon who knew how to wear a hat well and kept Phillip Treacy producing the great millinery we love him for – Isabella Blow.
