What is different about this award?
The new SDC Colour & Textiles Award at GFW is all about the creative and inspired use of colour. During the course of the judging process, the students will have the opportunity to talk to the judges about their inspirations and explain how colour impacts on their designs. From the three shortlisted students, a winner will be chosen who will not only enjoy the prestige of winning a prize during GFW, but will also be awarded a cheque for £750, with an additional £250 being awarded to the winning college. The winner will also be presented with the Veronica Bell Award, in memory of the Society’s first woman president who died in 2003.
