Word is out there already and there are only five places left for the trip on Thursday 14th June…it’s definitely the place to be if you want to understand how Topshop buys for their shoppers of today.
This is going to be such a good event for everyone and thanks to Caren Downie (Buying Director) again for organising this amazing opportunity.
The agenda for Topshop Meeting for Thursday 14th June is set out below. Please arrive at Cole grave House, 4th Floor, 70 Berners Street London W1 for 09.45 LATEST (closest tube is Oxford Circus or Tottenham Court Road). You have to each sign in at the front of the reception on the ground floor BEFORE you go up to the fourth floor. Please enter that you are visiting Belinda Manfo in the book and explain to reception that you are here for a workshop with Topshop.
Go to the 4th floor and again report in to reception where I will be waiting for you. Do not be late!
Agenda
10.30 – Introduction to Topshop – Stephen Mongon from the Technical Team
10.15 – Working with suppliers to Topshop – Eimear Hawker from the Technical Team
11.00 – Supplier Handbook and accreditations? Eimear Hawker
11.15 – Practical examples of problems with suppliers e.g. stock being late, faults, common mistakes – Eimear Hawker
11.30 – A buyers perspective – Belinda Manfo Concessions Buyer
– Visit by Caren Downie Buying Director (Caren has an external buying appointment at 9.30 but will introduce herself after the meeting around 11.30 – another result!)
Please note that Belinda will not be able to review your collection at this meeting but she has asked to see look books and a business card and she will then contact you accordingly.
Closing with a visit to the Oxford Street flagship store where the Stylist Caroline Peters from the Style Advisor team provides a guided tour of the store.
Estimated time of finish 14.00 hours
Belinda is happy to consider new companies into the concession department for the Oxford Street Branch and other flag ship stores if appropriate but we must stress that she can not give individual meetings to designers at this particular event due to time restrictions.
Can’t wait…we have managed to get 30 on board by just word of mouth alone so we can just squeeze in another 5!
Can I please stress that TopShop have been given the names of each participant and only those accepted can attend the event.
See you there! This is a fantastic opportunity for all concerned.
