Day 2 at GFW

09-06-2008

Thames Valley University Well, here we are again ready to rock and roll for day two at GFW.  The second day at GFW and the halls are packed with students.  Our stand has been exceptionally busy and we have been inundated with requests for membership.

When we speak to students we are glad to tell them that FashionCapital is here to help them and let then take that next step forward into this daunting industry.

So the first show of the day was with Thames Valley University and what a show this was! Again the talent was exceptionally high and very strong! Angela Hatton with her collection ‘Hung Drawn and Quoted’ was fabulous with intricate knitwear and padding to the hips gave the collection a very historic feel.  Colours were kept quite clean, pale pinks and deep sea blues mixed well.

This collection reminds me very much of Temperley, beautiful knitwear in its most elegant form.

Jennifer Thorpe ‘Dysfunctional Tailoring’ produced an amazing collection, puff ball sleeves were in abundance as well as puff ball dresses in elaborate prints…

Rochelle Pentland ‘Reversed Romance’ went for a beautiful knitwear collection, colours were kept cool with pale blues, silvers and creams.
