LFW Sept 08 – Roksanda IIincic
18-09-2008
The change of her normal location automatically changed the build up excitement of her latest collection. Instead being based within a cozy tearoom or restaurant, Roksanda had moved up in the fashion world and was now in a lofty glossy space. The open spaces and clear light made every detail of her work visible and sadly, sometimes, you wished you couldn't see it so clearly. Roksanda stuck to using a pallet of nude, plum and grey, and it hardly seemed at all boring or repetitive.

Floral decoration played a large part in the S/S09 collection, hand crafted and each one done individually they stand out and are defiantly a feature. On one particular garment the entire cape and hood was embellished with the hand made flowers. They stood out clearly against the silk and satin dresses and made a different alternative to the usually plain glamour of a satin dress, though any glamour puss would still be proud to wear these pieces!

Every so often a dress appeared with a ribbon attaché around the waist or thighs which acted like a belt though far more precious.

Though it would be perfect for an evening dress or ball I would be more than happy to just touch and look. It really was art work.
