Winehouse collection with Fred Perry set to be launched

Sportswear designer Fred Perry announced that it will be going ahead with the collection designed in collaboration with Amy Winehouse.

The designer had recently cancelled the collection due to the sudden death of Winehouse on 23^rd July of this year. However, Amy’s family are said to have given the collection their blessing, as Amy really enjoyed on the whole project and was so passionate about what she had designed.

The collaboration was set up in 2010 with planned collections for AW11, SS12 and AW12 with Amy’s signature style forming the collection. The pieces include polo tops, dresses, skirts as well as leather belts and bags. All proceeds will go towards the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was set up by Amy’s father Mitch, for young people with drug addictions.
