No Photos Please for Céline’s Resort 2014 Collection

The label which is designed by Phoebe Philo has decided to keep it’s latest collection hush hush and has not released any images of the pieces.

The Resort 2014 collection was however previewed during Resort Fashion Week, but a ban was given to all press and visitors from using their cameras or phones during the preview to ensure no images of the collection were posted onto social media outlets.

One store that is very ‘inspired by’ Céline is high street giant. Arguably, consumers of Céline and Zara do differ, however some of the big sellers in Zara are pieces very very similar to designs on the Céline catwalk. And who would want the original if you can get something very much the same for a fraction of the price?

So from text only, what can we expect from the Resort 2014 collection from Céline?

WWD commented that we can expect the statement usual relaxed silhouettes Céline is so well known for in a neutral colour palette of khaki, white and black. Fabrics and textures included ‘rich suedes including an ultrachic belted lavender shift and fabulous two-toned minks.’ To add to the resort vibe we can expect white transparent dressed paired over bold green and purple underpinnings.
