Is What Your Wearing Cool?

30-09-2013

Despite last year, while fashion labels failed to make it onto the list, this year things were very different. Showing that fashion is still very much a part of our day to day lives and that we take pride in our personal appearance, making the top 20 cut, as voted by the public, luxury brands have seen an increase in the list making up 25 percent of the top 20.

The survey this year listed Chanel in thirteenth place, Prada just behind in fourteenth and Alexander Mcqueen in nineteenth place. Showing that these are the brands people most want to be seen in, or are envious of those they see in.

Other fashion and accessories brands that made it into the list were Nike, achieving the highest fashion brand in fourth place, Ray-Ban in tenth place and Adidas falling slightly behind their rival in fifteenth.

Chairman of the CoolBrands council, Stephan Cheliotis commented on this years results, saying “The Top 20 saw a definite swing-back to luxury brands as the affordable everyday brands slipped back. Fashion brands came back to the fore. Whether it’s due to the strong heritage, product quality or quite simply a correlation with the reviving British economy.”

The CoolBrands survey is assembled by Julien MacDonald, Daisy Lowe, Grace Woodward along with another 35 panellists, and is voted by 3000 British consumers.
