Industry Shock Over the Loss of Christopher Dadey

Known as one of the friendliest guys in the photographers pit Dadey was a regular at all the catwalk shows capturing collections that went on to appear in the likes of GQ, WWD, Vogue.co.uk, i-D, Wonderland, The Independent, Tatler, ELLE, Dazed and The Guardian amongst others.
His ability to always get the perfect shot made him a favourite amongst the industry’s leading designers such as Vivienne Westwood (SS15 as pictured right), Sibling, Lou Dalton, Todd Lynn, Bora Aksu, Eudon Choi, Fashion East, KTZ and Zandra Rhodes. He was also incredibly supportive of new talent and would be found photographing in the pits at Fashion Scout and Graduate Fashion Week.
Dadey died peacefully in his sleep on the 3rd September. His death was sudden and unexpected and he was in the midst of preparing for another busy show season with his long-term partner, fashion stylist, Rebekah Roy. Messages of condolence have been pouring in via Roy’s Face Book page and include many supportive words from leading figures in the industry.
