Lingerie
19-05-2008
If you’re shopping for lingerie for a bride-to-be or looking to add to your own collection (or wishing to start one), there are a ton of options to choose from – and even some that you’ll want to avoid.
Keeping lingerie standards high and tasteful, the celebrity favorite La Perla is offering an orient-inspired lingerie collection. The Black Label is mostly black as the name suggests with accent colours of red. Mesh, dragon-inspired designs are original, sexy and perfect for a woman of the now.

Did I mention that the woman of the now must be willing to drop $500 for a nightie? If your bank account is not that of an A-lister, La Perla just sets the standard for classy lingerie purchases.

One of the freshest (and highly priced) lingerie lines of 2008 is Stella McCartney’s. Her much-anticipated spring collection combines Stella’s signature vintage pinks with floral prints and a palette of cream colours. These soft and sensual pieces are in the price range of £90-500.
If you or a lucky bachelorette are Sex and the City fans, then Cosabella’s SATC-inspired lingerie collection is a perfect choice. There are four different collections inspired by each character. Charlotte’s collection is modest and eco-friendly while Miranda’s is provocative and colourful.
The Affordable
Although Fredrick’s of Hollywood and Victoria’s Secret are not exactly upscale lingerie shops, they do offer some tasteful chemises that are affordable.
This babydoll lace and fringe combination is playful and elegant and only $42.

A great option for a bride-to-be is this white satin babydoll from Vicky’s Secret for a reasonable $34.50.

If you think Fredrick’s of Hollywood and Victoria’s Secrets are trashy, the Pussycat Doll’s "…shhh" lingerie collection is cringe-worthy. The hyper-sexual Pussycat Dolls released their first lingerie collection is March that looks much like their classless music-video costumes. Ick.
