Google Fashion
16-11-2010
It doesn’t come as much surprise that Google has set its sights on expanding into the fashion market; it generates revenue of £310bn worldwide, making it the forth largest global industry.

Online shopping itself is a continually growing market due to its convenience; allowing shoppers to avoid the crowds and chose an outfit in the comfort of your own home. The other advantages include being able to shop any time of day, there are no closing times online, as well as allowing you to compare products and prices before purchasing a item.
The new Google online store is expected to be named Boutiques.com. However, just so you know, the online store won’t be selling Google branded clothing; similar to its search engine, the website will connect shoppers to existing fashion brands, retailers and designers. Shoppers will also be able to save items, brands and styles into their very own personalized shop.
Boutiques.com has also been anticipated to rival with EBay’s own online store: Fashion Outlet, but with Sarah Jessica Parker, Oscar de la Renta, Marchesa and Cynthia Rowley expected to launch their own personalized virtual shop online to increase the publicity and promotion of Google’s newest venture, it may vastly outshine EBay’s online store.
For now I am eager for Boutiques.com to launch online and have a look myself…
