Muriel Zingraff-Shariff has been appointed Retail Concessions Director at Heathrow. She is due to start in July, and will be responsible for the development of Heathrow’s Award Winning Retail business. With senior titles at brands such as Harrods, Jimmy Choo and Paco Rabanne, Zingraff-Shariff has the right knowledge and skills to help Heathrow provide the best possible shopping experience to its passengers. When commenting on her new position she said:
“With its award winning retail I’m excited to be joining Heathrow. I am looking forward to working with the commercial team to develop the retail offering both in the existing terminals and the much anticipated new Terminal 2.”
She then went on to add:
“Retail revenues are hugely important to Heathrow and help keep landing charges down. We are delighted to have Muriel on board. Her retail experience both here in the UK and abroad will not only strengthen the retail team yet further but also ensure our offering has direct relevance and appeal to the 68 million passengers that pass through Heathrow each year.”
After completing an MBA from ESSEC in Paris, specialising in marketing and international business development, she then went on to start a career with L’oreal Paris.
BAA Commercial Director John Holland Kaye said: “Retail revenues are hugely important to Heathrow and help keep landing charges down. We are delighted to have Muriel on board. Her retail experience both here in the UK and abroad will not only strengthen the retail team yet further but also ensure our offering has direct relevance and appeal to the 68 million passengers that pass through Heathrow each year.”
With demand for luxury goods at an all-time high, Heathrow hopes that Muriel Zingraff-Shariff will be able to push sales further and help maintain, if not expand the high expectations of such a major airport.
