Bora Aksu – LFW – Friday 16th September 2011

This collection combined the romantic with the structured, adding fluffy looking peter pan collars and rouched woollen bibs. Following trend the skirts were of midi length, sitting below the knee but still incorporating the structured tulip shape. To add to this romantic feel the models were styled with white roses in their hair and the colour palette was equally soft featuring off whites, golds and grey blues trimmed with oriental looking wool bobbles.

The fabric variation was divine as were the exciting silhouettes such as the feminine over skirts sitting on the waist, taking the collection back a few hundred years and reeking of Elizabethan overtones.
The collection continued to feature beautiful structured draping, midi/maxi skirts and slid into a much stronger colour palette of pinks, reds, black and blue for the evening wear.

The romantic trimmings were lost and the black sheer panels were sexy and dark with flashes of graphic scale prints, fish net and intricate embellishment.

Another well developed collection by Bora Aksu, still following her tried and tested formula but taking it this year to a whole new level.
