Metallic was a huge trend, with the silver backdrop to the catwalk hinting at this major SS12 trend as soon as we entered.

Silver tuxedo jackets and metallic shift dresses were accented with plenty of white and black. The foil look is definitely one to go for next season and Giles foil printed white, full skirts that sat snuggly at the waist.
The 50’s full skirt shape continued into a selection of nude dresses and skirt suits with hip enhancing peplums.

Laser cut outs was another major trend shown by Giles this evening as he cut out delicate details from silver dresses and bodice tops adding silver streamer style fringes to the neckline.
The swan theme continued to the print and blown up, distorted swan prints were used on t-shirts and slinky dresses as well as draped chiffon maxi dresses.

The second phase of the collection focused on more lace style fabrics that seemed to have a more nature/floral theme, culminating in an amazing full length red dress with sculpted floral details before a final swan head piece and full length red and white gown took the catwalk. The models all then returned for the finale which involved the lights cutting out before the models all changed into a ‘swan lake’ style pose and Giles took his bow. A sensational and stunning collection that really raised the drama at LFW.
