Big brands have never been short of innovative advertising ideas that capture our full attention. Thanks to all the social networking sites it has never been easier to tap into your core audience and promote your latest campaign.

A perfect example is the current ‘Show You’re Jockey’ campaign as seen on billboards and buses around London. This campaign is a modern UK interpretation of the highly successful ‘Let ‘Em Know You’re Jockey’ campaign which ran in the US in the 1990’s. The ads revealed groups of soap opera stars, doctors, snowboarders and athletes with their trousers around their ankles, proudly displaying their Jockey underwear. It gained global notoriety and brought in an era where displaying your pants became a fashion phenomenon.

The recently launched UK campaign similarly shows a variety of men and women from all different walks of life confidently showing off their Jockey’s. This time however there is the addition of a microsite and FaceBook page which you can ‘like’, interact with and also submit an entry to ‘Show You’re a Jockey’ and to win a trip for two to Chicago – the birthplace of Jockey.

Working all available channels advertising and the internet look like an ideal match and if you can subtly entice traffic to your social media pages, as Jockey have done with their latest campaign, then that adds further strength to the brand and its marketing.

The ‘Show You’re a Jockey’ and win a trip for two to Chicago runs until 31St May 2013
