Debenhams Makes Deal With French Fashion Giant Promod

28-08-2013

Promod has signed an exclusive deal with popular British high street brand Debenhams to open concessions within its department stores. Promod is a French brand and their clothing is comfortable, affordable and easy-to-wear. The brand will face competition within Debenhams as the retailer already stocks a large amount of concession brands including Warehouse, Topshop, Henry Holland and Lipsy.

The deal comes not long after Promod’s successful trial in the retailers four Irish stores. Although the deal will be the brand’s first entry into the UK’s marketplace, Promod has seen huge success across Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia with more than 1,000 outlets in 56 countries and 27 million customers per year with sales reaching 1 billion Euros.

The brands concessions will consist of their Autumn/Winter 2013 collection and will appear in Debenhams stores in Cardiff, Manchester and Glasgow this month, followed by the brand new Oxford Street flagship store later this year after the completion of the store’s £25million transformation. In a similar way to Spanish fashion brand Zara, Promod will release new themes and colours every two weeks with Debenhams expected to stock 1,500 Promod items each season. Promod plans to stay on trend with the current collection including printed peg leg trousers, embroidered denim dress and black and white jacquard skirt.
