LFW S/S 14: Kilian Kerner
13-09-2013
Made up of luxurious brocades, silk taffetas and embroidery – the gowns oozed opulence and were never-the-less mesmerising. As champagne was distributed throughout the early afternoon, pianist Greg Foat set the tone of an evening style red carpet event.

Held at the Waldorf the Kilian Kerner collection installation was set in a stunning location with marble floors, extravagant lighting and an air of sophistication.
A favourite was an embellished cropped blouse in a deep rustic gold, juxtaposing against layers and layers of tulle – a fairy tale-like skirt. It created the most beautiful aesthetic with a sprinkling of embroidery on top. Simple under stated yet well-tailored cocktail dresses were executed in deep midnight tones in silk duchess satin, also shown was a gorgeous ankle length fit & flare gown which embodied a hint of Christian Dior’s New Look.

I can definitely visualize a celeb or two donning a Kilian Kerner gown on the red carpet next season.
