LFW S/S 14: Eugene Lin

The collection’s palette was based around a variety of whites, such as ivory and bone, as well as a selection of oranges; tangerine and pumpkin, set amongst a darker side which came in shades of black onyx, with metallic accents of silver and gold detailing.
A freshness was added to the collections’ soft tailoring with techno-coated cotton, which added a wet, edgier look to the pieces, breaking up the softness.

Strong features included cross details over dresses and jackets, representing the way the Valkyrie folds its wings against its body. The Valkyries were also called upon with beautifully printed grey-feathered shoulders.
An immaculately executed collection of soft feminine shapes and sculpted separates have certainly helped to cement Lin’s place at London Fashion Week’s Fashion Scout, enabling him, like the Valkyries, to take flight.
