With New Look constantly testing and learning from the multichannel world, Shivani Tejuja, eCommerce & Multichannel Director will share her insights into the future of customer engagement and experience across multichannel next month at the Internet Retailing Conference 2013.

At the conference, Shivani will talk on ‘Simplifying the Interfaces to Close the Sale’ looking at the checkout process and its need to be simplified across channels, be that online, on a phone, tablet or in-store and examining how New Look staff are using technology interfaces to close the sale in-store.

Talking about the importance of their customers, she said:

“We have to do what’s right for the customer. To help them look good, feel great and have fun.

Multichannel is a two-way street. We listen to customers and engage and interact with them; showcasing product online for preview before it’s released and getting early customer reactions and feeding that back to the buyers to support order levels.

Customer behaviour is changing. They are becoming more hungry for new. All of us from the board down are aligned on the journey and cross-channel is one of the key components. It’s crucial we get it right.”

The Internet Retailing Conference is taking place at the Novotel in Hammersmith, London on October 16th 2013, the conference is in its eighth year and will attract over 500 delegates and 45 exhibitors who will gather to learn about ‘The New Basics’ of retail.

Top names from Marks & Spencer, Facebook, Google, eBay and Vente Privée are amongst the impressive speaker list with a key note speech from retail legend Sir Stuart Rose setting the tone for the day.

There will be three clear themes for the conference, with industry experts sharing their knowledge of The Customer, The Business and The Industry as well as a further eight free workshops.
