Jsen Wintle is the new creative director of menswear, joining the retailer in September. He will report into Caroline Lee, director of menswear. Wintle comes from a label-focused background, creating his own label of menswear in 2004, Jsen’s label has collaborated with the likes of Marks & Spencer in the past.

While Shelia McKain-Waid the new director of womenswear, who will join later this month will report into Liza Webb, director of womenswear. McKain-Waid’s experience stems from her previous position of designer at Daks, here she consulted for Jaeger.

Chief Executive Colin Henry has said: “This injection of luxury expertise demonstrates our commitment to developing a strong premium womenswear and menswear offer. With Sheila we are getting world class creativity and great luxury expertise for our core area of womenswear. Jsen has a rich and extensive experience in luxury menswear design as well as having run his eponymous label Wintle. I’m immensely excited about all the ideas they will collectively bring to the brand.”

Last month the company revealed that it had set out a five-year strategy which included returning the company back to the black by next year and re-engaging with its core affluent 40 to 65-year-old customer. As well as bringing 10% more of their manufacturing back to the UK.
