GFW: De Montfort Contour

Selina Bond opened the show with all black, bondage style designs. Large plastic hardware moulded the models bodies in high-neck, full bodysuits to large skirted headwear. Delicate sequined lace decorated the balconette busts, shoulders and thighs; a harsh kick to the designs when combined with leather straps and hardware studding.

Karolina Laskowska took to the showspace next in a series of regal, oriental shapes. Making a strong impression with high caged necklines and lustworthy designs, the waist-cinching corsets were crafted of soft printed silks in an array of oranges, yellows and black. Fine lace decorated the hems and necklines of model. The final piece a breathtaking floor-length kimono embellished with floral appliqué and flowing sleeves.
Amy Lavery showcased next, changing up the direction and colour palette of the show, the first injection of white made its way onto the catwalk. Bridal, flowing shapes and gypsy lace were structured under silver spray-painted, caged bodysuits, crafted into corsets. The hints of metallic floral embroidery on the sleeves and bodies of models only visible when hit by catwalk lights, created a soft yet contrasting look to traditional lingerie.
Holographic and mesh hit the catwalk next in Charlotte Jane Spence’s final collection. An angelic collection of delicate lilacs and sheer fabrics; classic Parisian lingerie shapes were updated with peplums and boxy sheer t-shirts. An emphasis on silver holographic detailing, hints of silver decorated the necklines and waistlines in swirls of print. Models modesty was kept covered under the layers of transparent fabric with pale pink love heart nipple stickers.
Neon and summery vibe prints hit the catwalk next in Emma Lander’s collection, the undergarments had a sporty feel, and each piece could easily be styled and interpreted into everyday partywear. An exciting taster of what-may-be in underwear, bodysuits featured drawstrings and hoods, backs scooped low and white mesh covered the sides of the models bodies. Pops of bright purple, green and pink was carried throughout the collection in a tie-dye print, that when paired with white really stood out. The triangle shaped high-waisted briefs and bras were ready-to-wear, a look that wouldn’t go a miss on a night out.

Sammy Jo Witton upped the sex factor, models walked the catwalk in a sexy all black collection. Waists were worn high and cinched, walking to sultry French music, regal shapes were updated with leather and quilting techniques. Stiff bodysuits were embossed with leather swirls and exposed straps were given vampish broderie detailing.
