Buy British Day is a brand new initiative from the team behind Best of Britannia encouraging consumers to support brands and businesses that design and manufacture their products in Britain. The first ever Buy British Day is scheduled to take place this autumn on the 3rd October 2014.
Buy British Day has the official support of Wayne Hemingway MBE, with leading British business owners and directors also getting behind the initiative including; Timothy Everest MBE (Owner of Timothy Everest Fine Tailoring), William Church (Managing Director of Cheaney), Will Butler-Adams (Managing Director of Brompton) and Cressida Granger (Managing Director of Mathmos).
Wayne Hemingway comments: “I decided to get on board with Buy British Day because the time is right for it and we need a lot more consumers, British manufacturers and British brands to support British business.”

Antony Wallis (one of the founders of Best of Britannia) comments: “We have championed British made brands and businesses at the annual Best of Britannia event for several years now, and launching Buy British Day is the next logical step for us. There are so many top quality British made products out there, so the time is right that we have a day to create consumer awareness around the subject and encourage people to support these brands and makers.”
Buy British Day will take place on 3rd October 2014 and there will be a variety of talks and displays on the day at the Best of Britannia show.
Returning to the iconic Farmiloe Building in Clerkenwell for its third year this October, Best of Britannia is a showcase of over 200 superb quality British-made brands, making it the perfect place to buy British on 3rd October and discover the very best in fashion, grooming, furniture, food & drink and more.
