Bio:

After earning a First Class Honours in Fashion with Marketing from the University of East London in 2004, Lan embarked on a successful career in the fashion industry. Her experience includes collaborating with a diverse range of designers and suppliers, where she honed her skills as a creative pattern cutter and garment technician.

Lan has worked in factories in the UK and abroad, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the global fashion landscape. Throughout her academic journey, Lan showcased her collection at prestigious events such as Graduate Fashion Week and the V&A. This exposure ignited her passion for the technical facets of the fashion industry.

With over 25 years of experience in the technical realm of fashion, primarily as a pattern cutter, Lan has transitioned her focus to educating and nurturing technical skills essential for thriving in the industry. As the Head of Education, Lan plays a pivotal role in the Fashion Technology Academy (FTA), overseeing its operations and ensuring that teaching standards and courses consistently meet the highest quality across all FTA sites in London, Leicester, and Wales.
