The House of Models
The House of Models opened during Soviet times as a branch of the House of Models which had a main branch in Moscow. After the collapse of the Soviet Union the Ashgabat House of Models started working independently and became the main representative of the Turkmen world of fashion. In the years of independence it has traveled to many different countries with its collections.
Most years the House of Models creates one collection a year and the main focus is evening wear with a national twist.
Aside from releasing a collection a year, the House of Models works a lot with various government institutions throughout the year and is the main representative of Turkmen fashion and textiles abroad.
Since the early 2000s the House of Models has worked on combining European styles and silhouettes with traditional turkmen crafts like weaving and embroidery.
