‘FLY THE FLAG’ DESIGN COMPETITION

 

The Concept:

 

To design an image or graphic based on the Union Jack and fashion design /illustration.

 

 

The Rules:

Your design can be presented as a hand sketch in ink or as a computer aided design, please use no more than 3 colours. Keep in mind that the design has to look good over the lumps and bumps of a human body and can appeal to men, women or both.

 

The competition is open to anyone based in Bath and surrounding area within a 15 mile radius that is not already working full-time in graphics or fashion.

 

Please submit your design on an A4 sheet of paper with your name and contact details.

 

The Deadline:

 

Thursday 22^nd March 2012

 

Judging:

 

The judging panel will consist of key members from the FashionCapital team including: retail, workshop, factory and head office.

 

The Winner:

March 2012. The winning design will be printed on to T-shirts and sold at British Designers @ FashionCapital Boutique in Milsom Place, Bath and FCB Online Boutique. The winner will receive a percentage of sales from the design.

 

Start small; think big, this competition offers insight into the production process, marketing, sales and retail.

General Terms & Conditions:

 

• ORGANISER OF THE COMPETITION ‘Fly the Flag’ is a competition devised by British Designers@FashionCapital Bath. Head office: FC House, 28 Station Approach Hayes Bromley BR2 7EH.
• To participate in the Competition the applicant must agree to his/her personal data being processed by Fashion Capital Ltd for the administrative purposes connected with the Competition.
• Fashion Capital Ltd will publish his/her profile and upload images of designs onto www.fashioncapital.co.uk website. Copyright of the images remain with FashionCapital Ltd for the purpose of the competition.
• The winner and shortlisted applicants agree that his/her first and second name will be published on www.fashioncapital.co.uk and in the general media.
• By sending an Application to FashionCapital Ltd a candidate accepts the Rules of the competition.
• The winner will be notified by e-mail or telephone.
• British Designers@FashionCapital will not be able to return submissions.
• The verdict of the panel of the Competition’s judges is final and FashionCapital Ltd will not enter into any correspondence with unsuccessful candidates about the judges’ decision.
