Knock on the Door has a revolutionary concept.

It head hunts emerging designers, often recent graduates, and commissions them to develop a capsule collection exclusively for Knock on the Door.  Knock on the Door then produce the collection using ethical fabrics and UK manufacturers, however the range is sold under the designers name.

Knock on the Door aims to create a platform for talented designers to launch their career without them incurring crippling start up costs.  In turn these future stars provide a much needed injection of style and creativity into the eco clothing market.

The business is still in its infancy but has already gained commendations from a number of fashion industry professionals; most notable is the British Fashion Council.

More information about the brand and the designers it is currently working with is available on their website www.knockonthedooronline.com

Knock on the Door head hunt the latest design talent and combine their skill with its knowledge of ethical fabrics to produce fashion forward, ethical clothing.

Camilla Kennedy graduated from Birmingham City University.  She has worked for Alexander McQueen and was runner up in the Vauxhall Fashion Scout FAD competition, which enabled her to show at London Fashion Week.  Her debut collection for Knock on the Door offers a range of chic and elegant dresses which encapsulate her signature style. From organic cotton day dresses to a quirky, silk cocktail number Camilla Kennedy ensures there is an outfit for every occasion.

The &Co collection was developed by Clare O’Brien who graduated from the University of Leeds.  Having worked with design duo Felder Felder, in addition to producing bespoke dresses for private clients, her collection for Knock on the Door is sure to sell out fast.  The striking, statement print dresses use hand dyed fabrics produced by African community enterprises. The techniques they use mean the colours and patterns vary slightly from garment to garment ensuring a truly unique dress.

Additional collections will be launched in the coming months, including that of Simone Rodrigues, a designer who has always had an interest in ethical fashion.  Graduating from Plymouth College of Art in 2009, her final year collection made from organic and sustainable materials, won her the Student of the Year award.  Consequently she was invited to exhibit at a showcase for the top graduate designers of South West England, in addition to being featured in Sense, an ethical fashion magazine.

The newest designer to Knock on the Door is Christine Hall.  She began producing dresses for friends when she was just 17.  After gaining a degree in fashion design from the University of Leeds she worked with a number of red carpet labels and now has a selection of private clients she works with on a regular basis.  Her latest collection mixes delicate silks with bold prints to produce a directional range which Knock on the Door intend to showcase at Pure in February 2011.
