News from Cole and Son

October 9, 2024 - October 9, 2024

Wallpaper is no longer a shrinking violet – it’s a beautiful bold orchid!

Victoria Beckham, Paul Smith, Stella McCartney, Martine McCutcheon, H&M, the General Trading Company, Selfridges, John Lewis and Marks & Spencer are just a few of the celebrities, designers and leading retailers who, along with millions of DIY enthusiasts throughout the country, are using Cole’s wallpapers.

Michael Clarke’s opulent Orchid, available in ten dramatic colourways, is just one design from The New Contemporary Collection – a collection based on designs from Cole’s archive originally commissioned by Design Director, Douglas Robinson in the 1950s and 1960s from lecturers at the Royal College of Art.

Other designs include ’slightly arrogant’ Flamingos, in shimmering shades of pink and silver; Una Lindsay’s arresting Malabar, sweeping Rajapur and Cow Parlsey in shocking pink and black; two David Hicks designs, Hexagon and Moghul;  the glamorous geometric Pompeian and relaxing Palm Leaves.

Whether you’re looking for a grand gesture or a gentle ambience, Cole’s retro collection – printed on environmentally friendly, easy-to-hang paper – has it all.
