Just Style – Creating A New Vision For UK Fashion and Manufacturing

We have been mentioned on Just-Style.com again, this time in relation to enforcing government policy, along with Fashion Roundtable, within the UK fashion sector. One of the key concerns is the need to retain a skilled garment manufacturing workforce post-Brexit and the need for machinists to be added to the government’s Shortage Occupation List (SOL), which details skilled workers eligible for a visa. Fashion-Enter has been vehemently behind this and commented: “It’s quite insulting to all the fantastic machinists, many of whom are universal workers, that they are just not regarded as skilled enough to be on the SOL. [Sewing] takes years to perfect, it’s not just stitching. It is absolutely frustrating and training has to come back to the forefront.”
