Dear all,

Manufacturing the strongest it’s ever been!

41% of manufacturers have said that their volume of output has increased over the past three months. This compared to only 14% who responded a decrease shows that manufacturing in the UK is at its strongest pace in a year (Source CBI Industry Trends Survey).

Whilst this is fantastic news we know only too well every factory is about flow! Factories need a pipeline of orders so there’s stability. This is why we operate a totally transparent factory and open our doors to buyers, garments techs and merchandisers – to show how an ethical factory really works and the technical processes involved in creating one garment.

This week George at ASDA returned for the ‘Factory Uncovered’ workshop, take a look at their feedback here.

Securing The Future Of British Fashion Manufacturing’

This week we were featured in platform for the industry Utelier.com, and as advocators of best practices within garment manufacturing, we are delighted to be supported by a company with a similar ethos. Thank you Utelier…

“…we leave elated and proud to know that something as good as Fashion Enter exists; that this social enterprise is slowly and single-handedly releasing skilled and well trained new blood into the industry.”

Learn how to achieve Perfect Patterns and Design Specs

It is not too late to join the Technical Design and Pattern Cutting CAD course with eTelestia. This course is ideal for anyone wishing to develop CAD skills for a career in fashion or for designers who would like to draft and design their own styles accurately. We asked Frederic why he joined the course:

‘I decided to take the CAD technical design class, after doing the introduction to pattern cutting class. My objective is to further my understanding of clothing structure and technical design in order to create technically sound design and pattern  on the computer. With this class, I believe I will be a step closer to achieving one of my dream: running a successful clothing company.’
