Ex-CEO at ASOS and Matches Advocates UK Sourcing

Fashion-Enter Ltd’s CEO Jenny Holloway attended the Source Fashion trade show on Monday 15th July. The 3-day event exhibits and supports manufacturers from around the globe and hosts informative talks from industry experts and trend-led catwalk shows.

Jenny Holloway said: “It was great to visit Source London and see Nick Beighton on stage with Caryn Franklin, and to also hear from Joanna Mourant, Head of Product Legislation and Sustainability at Next. Caryn invited Nick to comment on proximity sourcing, he stated: “The P&L works, the agility works, there’s nothing faster than UK sourcing. It’s very important to the future of fashion to encourage more craft in the UK.”

Jenny added: “I also found the words from Joanna Mourant enlightening and it’s great to see there is emphasis on true sustainability.”

Kids Planet Place Another Order

Following on from Nick Beighton’s comments about proximity sourcing we are absolutely delighted to confirm that Kids Planet have placed another 2,000 unit order for 100% cotton bedsheets for their nurseries. Kids Planet is a family-owned, award-winning group of 195 nurseries across the UK.

Jenny comments: “Kids Planet have very high standards of ethics hence their new sourcing strategy to buy from the UK. All brands should be looking at this innovative approach because this dramatically reduces carbon footprint, and isn’t it fantastic to say; ‘Made Lovingly in the UK’. A big thank-you to Dave and Kim for their support from Kids Planet.”
