New Year New You!

FashionCapital Newsletter

Wednesday 19th December 2018
Dear all,

Goodbye 2018

As 2018 draws to a close the team is poised for yet another jammed packed year ahead. Alongside a busy roster of masterclasses, courses, apprenticeships and made in the UK production we are due to open the Tailoring Academy in conjunction with the ambitious Fashion District London initiative. Other projects in the pipeline include an exciting retail opportunity for up and coming brands, continued growth and good practice support with Leicester’s manufacturing hub as well as the development of a new business incubator space…more on this in the New Year.
Throughout 2018 we once again gained Fast Forward Leading Status, made the voice of ethical UK manufacturing heard in Parliament, on TV, Radio and in the press and launched our very own in-house label Belles of London. And let’s not forget all the apprentices, learners, designers and start-ups that have benefited from our tuition, support, mentoring, advice and on-site services.

“FashionCapital provide excellent mentoring which is brilliant for a start-up because they are with you every step of the way and have helped me believe in myself. The membership has allowed me to get access to workshops, fabrics, use of their studio and much more so I would definitely recommend it.” – RoxannePlus on a personal note we celebrated Development Director Jenni Sutton’s marriage in the summer followed by the exciting news that she is now pregnant.
