Help Support the Perfect Fit and Gain a Free Plus Size Garment
Getting the perfect fit from standardised clothing sizes can be nightmare for many people. It is a well-known fact that if an item of clothing does not fit well it will often sit in the back of the wardrobe, get chucked out to a local charity shop, or even worse, end up as landfill.
Top UK clothing and footwear digital retailer, N Brown, is committed to being fully inclusive and providing clothes in a broad range of sizes. To ensure that its clothes fit and flatter, in 2019, N Brown invested in 3D body scanning technology. The scanner, with its 20 sensors recording around 150 measurements, has transformed the way that the N Brown team analyses body shape and sizing.
To maintain an up-to-date, accurate reflection of customers’ body shapes N Brown regularly invites members of the public to get scanned, and on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th June the N Brown 3D scanner is landing at the FC Designer Collective shop on Fonthill Road in Islington.
If you would like to support with this sizing data and walk away with an N Brown garment then please come along to FC Designer Collective, 113-115 Fonthill Road, London N4 on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th June, 10am – 5pm.

Repurposing in Production
Currently at FEL Wales the team is repurposing a collection of almost 3,000 men’s shirts from Jacamo to reduce the sleeves down from long to short sleeve. How impressive that! A leading retailer cares about not contributing to landfill and also provides Fashion-Enter with work for the machinists! This has been an absolute lifeline for FEL Wales after the news that we were not successful in gaining the Welsh NHS bid for the £4m nurses uniform order. This outcome has been contested and FEL has received phenomenal support from industry and local individuals. On a more positive note we are in talks to continue with training and recycling / upcycling initiatives in Wales.
