Closing the Gap Between Education and the Workplace

It was great to welcome back secondary school teacher Theresa Chambers again, she previously attended an educational visit of the factory and was highly impressed with the entire set up. Many congratulations on her new job with Windsor Girls School. We invited Theresa down on to the factory floor, which despite all the doom and gloom, is busy! This really did generate so many great ideas on how we can work with schools such as Windsor Girls School to integrate STEM and the importance of technical skills into the secondary school curriculum. We look forward to working with Theresa in March and we are definitely going to start doing a blog for schools. Great idea Theresa and thank you!

Welcome to New Staff Member Marcia

Marcia Bennett is the new teaching assistant in the Stitching Academy and she will work along side Ana Cover.

Ana comments: “Happy New Year to all of our lovely students in the Stitching Academy. I am so excited to confirm that we are so impressed with one of our students Marcia that we have offered her a job of being a support teacher along side me for our Level 1 and 2 qualifications.  We are so pleased she has accepted the job. This just goes to show that you should always push yourself and strive for a better life! You never know what will happen next.  We welcome you to our team Marcia and look forward to working with you.”
