All Change at the Top

A new week and a new prime minister! Rishi Sunak stated that he “will deliver on the 2019 Conservative manifesto,” and that includes investment in education and apprenticeships, along with support for UK businesses to unleash the full potential of this post-Brexit country. We sincerely hope that the in-fighting is over and that Sunak and his cabinet can deliver.

Join Us at N17 Entrepreneurial Callings

On Wednesday 16th November 4pm our CEO Jenny Holloway will be speaking at this free, informal event to inspire and support creative entrepreneurs in the Tottenham area of north London. Jenny will be joined by Toby Fernandes of Collage Arts and they will explain how N17 Creative Callings programme works with mentoring and courses as well as highlighting previous case studies.

This takes place at Blighty café-coworking space, Tottenham High Road, London N15.

Get Stitching With Us!

Over at the FC Designer Workspace we have learners upskilling their stitching skills on the 4-Day Sewing course. This course can take you from complete novice to being able to make your own garments in less than a week. The next 4-day Sewing course commences: 13th February 2023.

Additionally we have drop-in sessions with our Repair and Upcycle monthly workshops, these 4-hour sessions are free but we request that you confirm your place due to limited space. The next one is Friday 18th November.

Plus, the weekly Saturday Sewing Club, where we open our FC Designer Workspace facilities for 4-hours for just £20 + VAT. The session includes an experienced tutor and provides the perfect opportunity to create and make with likeminded individuals. Tap here to join the Saturday Sewing Club this weekend – 29th October. 

Based in Leicester?

At the FCFTA Leicester there is Fashion Studio Creative Space available to rent  from £5 an hour to £25 a day + VAT. The Studio is the perfect place to make your own clothes, repurpose or upcycle.
